Who Should Attend

Faculty of higher education Institutes that are involved in teaching the undergraduate and post graduate classes.

Faculty, administrators who are involved directly or indirectly in the measurement of objectives as laid down by the governing bodies.

Researchers in this area, who are working to develop various facets of teaching, learning, assessment techniques towards Outcome Based Education.

Benefit to Faculty

  • The faculty who participates in the conference will have clarity regarding various aspects of Outcome Based Education. A better understanding is expected of key terms like Graduate Attributes, Programme Specific Outcomes, Programme Educational Outcomes, Programme outcomes and Course Outcomes.
  • The Faculty will learn through experiences of others on how to design curriculum, assessment techniques and teaching pedagogies.
  • Measurement of OBE is a big challenge since most faculty are not involved in the entire measurement process. A knowledge of best practices in the OBE will benefit the faculty in providing an outcome-based flavor in every activity.
  • Incorporating research into teaching is a very effective method of strengthening learning and assessing students. The Conference has a proposed track for faculty to present, share, analyze and discuss various methodologies to incorporate research integrated teaching.
  • Outcome Based Education is central to Active Teaching- Learning Process which will enhance the quality of Education in Institutes of Higher Education. The initiatives in this direction by AICTE and UGC will be provided with a fresh impetus.

Benefits to Students

  • Exchange of perspectives and practices in the conference would lead to a better implementation of teaching-learning-assessment practices which would benefit the students.
  • Assessment literacy will be promoted as Outcome Based Education student partnership in all aspects.
  • Definition and clarification of Graduate outcomes will be a key benefit to the students.
